Work summary email does not match what I see on Hubstaff’s site

Sometimes you may notice the data on your work summary email doesn’t match with the one displayed on the website. The reason why your daily work summary may not match with the time on the website can be due to the following:

  1. If the data has not been uploaded from the desktop timer app when the email is generated, then the email will not have a correct full picture of all the time and will be inaccurate.
  2. If the team member has intermittent network issues it can cause latency in uploading activity (as well as screenshot data)
  3. If a team member removes/deletes/edits time after the email is sent out, then again the email will not be accurate.
  4. If the team member is on a laptop or a machine that goes to sleep that will interrupt the ability of the client to upload data
  5. If the desktop app is “quit” before it can upload all the time data, then the daily report will differ from the reports on the Hubstaff website after the desktop app is restarted and uploads the remaining data. The reports page is then correct as it is seeing the full complete view of all data.
  6. If there is a timezone mismatch between the timezone on the machine used to track the time and the Hubstaff account’s time zone setting.
  7. Reports are shown in the organization’s timezone setting, which can be different from the team member’s timezone setting.
